Bassist on Black

I include two photographs on this page of Julie Schexnayder. The other is essentially a portrait about character and connection, while this photograph was made to take advantage of a strong graphic opportunity. Julie dominates the frame against the black background, but what delivers the visual energy is the complementary black foreground diagonal of the string bass. The bass neck and her left forearm create an A-frame that brings attention to her hand and eyes.
