Whiting Brothers: "Most of the Best for the Least". Whiting had over one hundred stations along Route 66. Many of those stations were bypassed by Interstate 40 and were sold or abandoned. Some stations also had associated motels, and a few of those remained open for a time. A Whiting sign for motel and groceries is seen here in the background.
