Rusty Hardware

This close view of one of Dinah's hubs is a small study in metal, rust, and age. Strong, hard light of complements the subject.

I printed this image in black and white for monochrome print competition. Photographs of a single hue are almost universally discounted in the color category. In monochrome, this photograph earned First Place and Best of Show for close-up photography at Santa Barbara Fair. I prefer this color rendition.
