He was cool and I liked the hat. His expression is one of thought or concentration, with an element of detachment. Reviewing the photograph, I thought he seemed displaced in time, as though he belonged in another century. I adjusted the balance of red, blue and green components to mimic the characteristics films of the 1800s to produce this sepia tone image. This interpretation reveals more than the color original.
