The Rancher and the Widow

This photograph was made during Bodie Day, at - you guessed it - the ghost town of Bodie, California. I converted the color image to black and white, giving increased weight to the blues and less weight to the reds to mimic the color response of early films. I added some chunky noise and then some "distress" to complete the illusion of a very old photograph that has survived the decades.
