Of an Elegant Time

This photograph was made at the ghost town of Bodie, California. The woman is the organizer of Bodie Day, an event of historical re-enactments, music, information and barbeque. I hope to attend the event again.

Direct morning light was still harsh with high contrast of bright light and dark shadows. By photographing in shade, I got softer, more flattering light, and a feminine presentation against the rustic wood backdrop.
