Dance!

I saw them first at the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival parade staging area, all smiles in a circle of rhythm and dance. This photograph is from one of their stage performances later in the day. Much of the action was fast and, for me, unpredictable. I made about a dozen exposures and this is my favorite.

The background was bright and distracting. I wanted visual attention on the foreground dancer. For the print, I darkened and put sepia tone on everything except the main subject. She really pops from the photograph, accenting her presence on stage.
