Mother and Daughter

When I first saw Alexis perform, several years ago, she was reciting Shakespeare. Now she delivers Shakespeare. By that I mean that she projects the character and emotion of her roles.

Full color proved to be a distraction from what I saw and wanted to portray. I did not want "festival fantasy" in the image. This presentation, to me, reveals the intensity of her quest and the bond and partnership with her mother in pursuing her love of Shakespeare.
