A Morning Portrait

This is about as good as outdoor portraits get without accessory lights, reflectors or shades. Overcast skies delivered soft, diffused light which is wonderful for the ladies of Faire. Photographed at f/5.6 at about 200mm, the shallow depth of field puts our attention on facial features. The light greens of her apparel and floral head piece complement her complexion well.

She gave the impression of having some modeling experience. Of four exposures, three of them hit the mark. The general ambience of Faire is very relaxed, and relaxed people generally provide for good portraiture. Huzzah!
